COVID-19 Notice to Clients

So…here we are. Stuck at home. Social distancing has become the new normal, at least for the time being. With everything being shut down in New Jersey, and with the need for social distancing, the world can start to feel like a pretty lonely…and yeah, scary place right now. But it is important that we understand the why. We must understand that, even if we may not have immediate concern for our own health, it is important to practice social distancing for the sake of others who may be at greater risk. It is also important that we remain vigilant on keeping up with any updates about COVID-19, and how we can continue to keep one another and ourselves safe.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR SERVICES AT THE EPIPHANY ROOM?

Here at The Epiphany Room, we want to support you in staying safe. That said, therapeutic services will continue to be offered and available to you via Telehealth, effective immediately. What does that mean for you? That means that you can continue to receive counseling as often as you need from the comfort and safety of your own home. Therapy will be offered via a HIPAA compliant video platform or telephone, whichever you prefer. Our number one priority is making sure we continue to be here for you and that therapeutic services are not interrupted. Here at The Epiphany Room, community is everything. We are all in this together will get through this together.

WHAT CAN YOU DO ON YOUR END?

  • Be open to phone or online sessions.This might feel different and new, but telehealth has been around for a while and allows us to stay connected and provide you support during this time. If you are worried that you are not tech savvy enough for online therapy, we can prepare for it prior to the session, and walk through it together when the time comes.
  • Keep “coming” to therapy!Therapy helps us stay healthy, stable, and grounded. In times of anxiety and uncertainty, therapy is a source of emotional support and a safe place to process our experiences. We strongly encourage all of our clients to keep their appointments as scheduled, whether online or over the phone.
  • Communicate with your therapist.Let your therapist know how you are doing, if you are worried about your sessions, or if you are concerned about scheduling issues. We understand that the schedules of both our staff and clients are subject to change with school closings, changes at work, and more. We encourage everyone to be flexible and adaptive as we navigate this in the coming weeks.
  • Stay Connected: Be sure to check this website often and sign up for the newsletter so that you can stay informed of any changes and updates going on with the practice.

WHAT ABOUT GROUPS AND WORKSHOPS?

Please stay tuned, as supportive online groups and workshops will be offered shortly.

HOW IS COVID-19 AFFECTING SCHEDULING FOR NEW CLIENTS AT THE EPIPHANY ROOM?

No worries, we’ve got you covered! The Epiphany Room is currently offering appointments online and would be happy to schedule you for an intake via our easy to use, HIPAA compliant, online platform. Once we resume in-person sessions, you are welcome to continue treatment with your therapist and meet in the office.  We currently have multiple openings available!

*Schedule and availability is subject to change due to the current state of emergency in New Jersey, however we are very much “open” for business and are happy to have options available so that people have access to therapy during this time of anxiety and uncertainty!

Please note that our practice still does have a 24-hour notice cancellation policy and will consider waivers on a case-by-case basis.  Let your therapist know if you have any questions or concerns. We know a lot of schedule changes and childcare issues are happening due to school closings so please reach out to your therapist as soon as possible for any rescheduling needs.
